Informativa sulla Privacy
Ultimo aggiornamento: 24 settembre 2026
In breve
6. Permessi Android
| Permesso | A cosa serve |
|---|---|
POST_NOTIFICATIONS | Mostrare i promemoria. |
SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM | Inviare i promemoria all'orario esatto. |
RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED | Riprogrammare i promemoria dopo il riavvio del telefono. |
- Finalità: risolvere i problemi segnalati e migliorare l'App.
11. I tuoi diritti
13. Modifiche all'informativa

Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 24, 2026
This policy describes how the OnLens application ("App") handles data. The App is developed and distributed free of charge by Gerardo D'Amico, who acts as data controller only for the data described in sections 7 and 8.
In short
- All the data you enter in the App stays only on your device.
- No account, no ads, no analytics and no tracking.
- The developer has no access to your data and never receives it.
- The only exception is the feedback form, which you fill in only if you choose to (section 7).
1. Data stored on your device
To work, the App stores the information you enter locally:
- Lenses and inventory: lens type (daily, weekly, monthly), brand (optional), quantity, power (PWR) for each eye, purchase date, expiry date and manufacturing date (optional).
- Profile: power, vision defect and additional notes for each eye.
- Usage: timer sessions, days of lens use and statistics calculated from this data.
- History: a log of the actions performed in the App.
- Preferences: language, theme, usage limits, lens types shown and history retention period.
This data is stored exclusively in the App's internal storage on your device and is never sent to the developer or to external servers. Some of it, such as power and vision defect, may be considered health data: since it stays under your sole control and is not collected, the developer does not process it in any way.
2. Retention and deletion
- History is kept for the period you choose in the settings (off, 30, 60 or 90 days, or unlimited) and is then deleted automatically.
- You can delete your data at any time from the App, by clearing the App's data in Android settings, or by uninstalling it.
- Automatic Google cloud backup is disabled: the App's data is not copied to your Google backup. As a result, if you uninstall the App or change or lose your phone, the data cannot be recovered, either by you or by the developer.
3. PDF report
The App can generate a PDF report of your usage. The file is created on your device and you decide where to save it or who to share it with. Once shared through another app or service, the file is subject to the rules of that app or service.
4. Widgets
If you add an OnLens widget to your Home screen, some App information is displayed on your phone's screen and is visible to anyone who looks at it. The widget reads data locally and does not send it anywhere.
5. Notifications
Reminders (for example when you exceed your wear limit) are scheduled and generated locally on your device. The developer cannot see or change them.
6. Android permissions
| Permission | Purpose |
|---|---|
INTERNET | Opening external links, such as this page or the feedback form. The data you enter in the App is not sent online. |
POST_NOTIFICATIONS | Showing reminders. |
SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM | Delivering reminders at the exact time. |
RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED | Rescheduling reminders after the phone restarts. |
WAKE_LOCK | Delivering reminders while the phone is in standby. |
7. Feedback form
From the App you can report a bug or send a suggestion through a Google Forms form. Submitting it is entirely optional. The form is currently available in Italian only.
- Data requested: your phone model and a description of the problem or suggestion. The form does not collect your email address or any other identifying data.
- Please do not enter personal or health data in the form.
- Purpose: fixing reported problems and improving the App.
- Legal basis: your consent, given by voluntarily submitting the form.
- Retention: responses are deleted as soon as the problem has been fixed or the suggestion reviewed.
- Provider: the form is hosted by Google, which processes technical connection data under its own Privacy Policy.
Because responses are anonymous, the developer may be unable to link a response to you unless you provide details that help identify it.
8. Email contact
If you write to the address in section 14, your email address and the content of your message are used only to reply to you and are deleted when no longer needed.
9. Third-party services
The App does not include any third-party analytics, advertising or tracking tools. The App is distributed through Google Play, which processes download-related data under its own terms.
10. Artificial Intelligence
The App does not use artificial intelligence technologies to process your data. Artificial intelligence was used only as a support tool while developing the source code.
11. Your rights
Under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) you have the right to request access to, rectification, erasure or restriction of your data, to object to processing and to withdraw your consent at any time. For data stored on your device, you exercise these rights directly in the App. For any other request, you can write to the address in section 14. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, such as the Italian Garante per la protezione dei dati personali or the authority in your country of residence.
12. Children
The App is not specifically directed at children under 14 and does not knowingly collect data about them. In any case, the data entered in the App stays on the device.
13. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated, for example when new features are added. The current version is always published on this page with the date of the last update. Significant changes are also mentioned in the App's release notes.
